Macclesfield Tutorial College has a proud history in education spanning 25 years. We offer an extensive range of GCSE, IGCSE, and A Level courses across most subjects from English Language to Modern Foreign Languages, to the Sciences and beyond. The College is a great place to learn, with courses delivered by experienced and enthusiastic teachers in a focused yet friendly and relaxed environment. We offer tutorial rooms to cater for one-to-one lessons or larger spaces for group learning, as well as a fully equipped science laboratory for practical work.
Technology
Technology plays an important role in modern education and is utilised throughout the College. Audio-visual learning aids, interactive whiteboards, online research and learning facilities are all available, with Wi-Fi throughout. We have a well stocked research library and areas for quiet study or revision. We are also able to offer the convenience of distance learning via online lessons.
Our excellent facilities enable the College to offer both individual and group tuition to full and part-time students and teaching at the College is always based upon the needs of the student. With tuition focused primarily on the needs of the individual, lessons can be flexible so that other commitments can be undertaken alongside studying. Individual tuition, or small classes allows for a strong focus on personal support and promotes a sociable environment; this builds confidence and leads to greater achievement.
Private Candidate Examination Centre
Most students enter the College to prepare for GCSE and GCE level examinations, but other levels can be catered for. MTC also serves as a Private Examination Centre for external students. We provide the opportunity to expand their potential career opportunities regardless of age or previous results attained.
Accessible and Flexible Study for Students of All Ages
The College caters to students of all ages. Students are typically from sixteen years old and upwards but places are also available to younger students.
